Pursuing and educated mind:
3) The essay presented a great deal of evidence that the writer had found. There was plenty of evidence showing the different ways that language is being taught in the U.S. The writer goes into great detail about how hard it could be for some students to learn English and also do well in school too.
4) The purpose of the section headings was to let the reader know a switch in direction. If it was just paragraph after paragraph a reader might be little lost as to which direction she was trying to go and what point she was trying to make.
Head Start
1) So the thing that I noticed about the head start essay is that at the end he gives his good opinion as to “What Needs to Happen” It is what his last section is about. That to me was an effect tool. In Educated Mind, she doesn’t give a good opinion as to what she felt should be done to better the situation.
